User Data Deletion Instructions

1. Overview
At Beso, we respect your right to privacy and your right to control your personal data. This document outlines the step-by-step process for requesting the complete deletion of your account and all associated personal data from our systems.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request the deletion of your account and data through either of the following methods:
Option A: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the Beso app and log in to your account.
- Navigate to your Profile by tapping the avatar icon in the bottom navigation.
- Tap the Settings gear icon in the top right corner.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings menu and tap Account Center.
- Select Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your identity and permanently delete your data.
Option B: Email Request
If you no longer have access to the app, you can submit a written request:
- Send an email to admin@besoapp.com from the email address associated with your Beso account.
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
- Include your full name and the phone number associated with your account in the body of the email.
Note: We may require additional verification to ensure the request is coming from the legitimate account owner.
3. What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
- Immediate Removal: Your profile, photos, matches, and messages will immediately become invisible to all other users.
- Data Erasure: Your personal data (including location history, draw zones, and preferences) will be permanently erased from our active databases within 30 days.
- Backups: Residual copies of your data may remain in secure, encrypted backups for up to 90 days as part of our disaster recovery protocols before being completely overwritten.
4. Data We Must Retain
In certain circumstances, we are legally required or legitimately permitted to retain specific pieces of information even after a deletion request. This includes:
- Logs of financial transactions (if you purchased premium features) for tax and accounting purposes.
- Device ban records, if an account was suspended or banned for violating our Terms of Service, to ensure community safety.
- Data subject to a valid legal subpoena or court order.
